SKE's Génération Goldorak - ROLL’ART, a hand-signed, hand-finished resin sculpture in orange, 20 cm high by 8 cm in diameter, edition 04/30 from 2026, with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
- Masterpiece provided with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered by the artist SKE.
- HAND-FINISHED « Sculpture manufactured for commercial purposes, assembled and hand-retouched by the artist SKE. »
- Number 04/30
With ROLL’ART, SKE develops a series of contemporary rolled sculptures, conceived as visual fragments, compressed memories, and popular icons transformed into works of art.
This edition dives into the cult universe of Goldorak, the absolute symbol of a generation raised on giant robots, unforgettable opening themes, intergalactic battles, and heroes from elsewhere.
Here, Goldorak is reinterpreted with a pop and street art aesthetic, between manga energy, graphic tension, bursts of red, deep black, metallic touches, and urban composition. The character becomes almost a modern relic: a rolled piece of childhood, tied up, kept as a precious memory one would not want to let disappear.
Rolled and held by a rough rope, the work takes on a strong sculptural dimension. It is no longer merely an image inspired by Japanese pop culture: it becomes a collectible object, a nostalgic capsule, a contemporary totem dedicated to the 80s, to cult cartoons, and to the heroic imaginary that marked an entire generation.
Each copy is handcrafted, with its own curves, tensions, irregularities, and details. Even in a limited edition, each piece retains the character of a singular work.
Made in 3 mm polymer material, this sculpture measures about 20 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter.
Limited edition of 30 pieces, signed, numbered, and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity.
A piece designed for collectors of contemporary art, pop art, and street art, but also for lovers of Japanese culture, cult robots, vintage animation, and childhood memories. A work balancing nostalgia, graphic power, and pop collection, where Goldorak no longer just saves the Earth: it also saves a piece of our memory.
Artist Bio:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-rounder who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic works.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double readings, combine the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master competition (2023) and then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025), named “Artist of the Month” by the Opulence gallery in October, he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE has also made strides in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture plays define a style that has become essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to initiate or enrich a collection with rising value.
Listed & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work is part of a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to distort the Mona Lisa by Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming and comics is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with success codes and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: featuring sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textures that evoke the glazed finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
