Duck decoy - ANADE REAL - Wood

Ancient life-size hunting decoy duck from the Albufera of Valencia, measuring 32x14x13 cm, an excellent example of traditional rustic folk art. The beak was carved separately and inserted into the head, which demonstrates great artisanal skill. The duck represents a male Northern Pintail, retaining its hand-painted original polychromy in good condition. At the base it retains its iron hook to fix the ballast cord.
