Description
Resonance I is an original work created in 2026 by Antoine Stevens. In this monumental composition, the artist reveals a fragmented female portrait where the gaze becomes the anchor of all emotion. Between appearances and erasures, the forms seem to emerge from the material in a subtle play of transparencies, drips, and spontaneous gestures.
The warm coppery tone of the background contrasts with black, white, and gray interventions, creating a visually striking tension. The vertical drips, signatures of Antoine Stevens’s work, accentuate the depth of the portrait while luminous touches progressively reveal the facial features.
At the border between contemporary figurative painting and urban art, Resonance I expresses the artist’s sensitivity in full. The work evokes memory, fragility, and inner strength through a free and instinctive painterly writing. Its monumental format gives it an exceptional presence, ideal for a contemporary art collection.
About the artist
Born in 1987, Antoine Stevens is a French artist whose work lies at the meeting point of contemporary figurative painting and urban art. For more than a decade, he has developed a personal universe where the academic precision of drawing dialogues with the energy of graffiti, drips, and spontaneous painterly interventions.
Exhibited in France as well as internationally, notably in Luxembourg, London, Monaco, and Singapore, he has progressively established himself thanks to a style immediately identifiable. His work is inspired as much by the great masters of classical painting as by the aesthetics of street art, creating a powerful and decidedly contemporary visual language.
Through his portraits, Antoine Stevens seeks to reveal the beauty, strength, and emotions of his subjects. His works, characterized by high technical mastery and strong sensitivity, attract an increasing number of collectors in Europe and abroad.
