Emile Feront was a Belgian artist who was active in the first half of the 20th century. He was a painter. He realized, among other things, landscapes, cityscapes, and harbor scenes. In the 1930s and 1940s he worked in Antwerp. He, together with Albert Ernest and Dirk Baksteen, was a member of the Circle of Modern Art in Antwerp founded by Paul Joostens. He exhibited, among other things, in a group show at the Municipal Banquet Hall in Antwerp in 1932, took part in the Salon of Ghent in 1933, and in the exhibition of the Circle of Modern Art in Antwerp in 1933. The work Landscape with a Lock was auctioned by Zaal Campo Vlaamse Kaai in Antwerp in 1992. Mentioned in BAS I and Two Centuries of Signatures of Belgian Artists. Source: Piron.
