The series "SURGE" captures the dynamics of elemental movements—lively, present, and expressive. The works thrive on the tense contrast between matte, raw cotton and intensely pulsating, deep acrylic layers. Broad brushstrokes and expressive gestures subtly reveal the physical energy of the painting process on the canvas. While powerful, flowing forms dominate the compositions, targeted color accents elsewhere inject lively, vital impulses. Because the unprimed canvas is deliberately left untouched in many places, the works breathe and develop a fascinating, tangible depth.
