The series of works "SURGE" captures the dynamism of elemental movements — lively, present, and expressive. The works live on the tension-filled contrast between matte, raw cotton and intensely pulsating, deep acrylic layers. Broad brushstrokes and expressive gestures subtly make the physical energy of the painting process palpable on the surface. While powerful, flowing forms dominate the compositions, targeted color accents elsewhere inject vibrant, vital impulses. Because the unprimed canvas is deliberately left untouched in many places, the works breathe and develop a fascinating, tangible depth. It is a harmoniously balanced interplay of dense color structures and minimalist free spaces. The works have a powerful visual presence and enrich any room.
