The new series of paintings titled "urban pop" is created by the artist Lacrymal. It combines street-art motifs with a very interesting painterly touch of pop art.
It comes from street art, an urban practice based on outdoor spray that gave rise to forms and motifs never seen before in the history of art. In this series he has conceived a pictorial approach that fuses one of the most important currents of the twentieth century, namely pop art and street art.

Lacrymal (Jimmy) was born in 1990 in Aubervilliers. It is there that he began his self-taught practice, painting on the walls of his city characters that he mixes with collages edited with software and that he prints. His works appear as a tension between two typologies of forms and lines. He exhibits in several European countries.
In 2018, Jimmy appropriated the pseudonym Lacrymal for the realization of his paintings, which refers to the gland that secretes tears.
