Old carved wood and glass display cabinet. Elegant on-table display case, made of dark reddish-brown wood, with a tall, narrow body, richly decorated with carved and pierced elements. The upper body, a quadrilateral shape, has four glazed faces, allowing full view of the interior. The top is also closed by a glass panel, providing good light entry and highlighting the objects on display. The moldings consist of framed vertical stiles, preserving a dark, irregular patina resulting from age and use. The upper edge is finished with a succession of carved and pierced fretworks, decorated with scrolls, vegetal motifs, and stylized forms. In the four corners appear small carved pinnacles, some configured as zoomorphic or anthropomorphic figures, giving the piece an exotic and particularly expressive artisan character. The display cabinet rests on an independent, removable base of square shape, decorated with a carved band of stylized leaves and a small central motif. The lower skirting features wavy cutouts, extending into a central reinforced support with pierced and carved vegetal-inspired elements. The pedestal ends in a tripartite base, formed by three curved arms, topped by bulky cylindrical terminals with incised floral decoration. This structure provides stability to the piece and reinforces its sculptural profile. The cabinet can be separated from the pedestal, facilitating transport and allowing observation of the interior construction of the base. This is a decorative piece with strong presence, suitable for displaying jewelry, small collectible objects, sacred art, porcelains, miniatures, or other precious items. Wear consistent with age.
