BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST:

Painter and sculptor. Trained in Barcelona (1940-51), he expanded his studies in Paris, Italy and Switzerland. Art professor at the School of Applied Arts of Barcelona (1966), he was, in 1970, director of the Badalona school. He has exhibited since 1942, and has numerous awards, among them the Gold Medal of the Girona Provincial Council (1972). He painted or designed several murals or stained glass windows in Catalonia since 1949. His style synthesizes abstract conceptions with elements, normally symbolic, of the new figuration.
