Refined and exceptional specimen of the famous Code Napoléon (Civil Code of the French), printed in Paris in 1810 by the prestigious Imprimerie Impériale (Imperial Typography). This is the official pocket-format edition (in-12° or pocket size), printed and widely distributed for immediate use by magistrates, lawyers, and officials both in France and in the territories annexed to the Empire, such as the Kingdom of Italy.
The title page bears the official wording "Édition originale et seule officielle", surmounted by the evocative woodcut of the Napoleonic imperial crest with the eagle with outstretched wings.
