Artur Sudak, The Bait, oil on canvas, 50 × 70 cm, signed by the artist (Sudak '26), original edition, 2026, expressionism, depicting animals, Poland, sold directly by the artist, new and ready to hang.
Description from the seller
The work presents an extraordinary, metaphor-rich scene – a small figure in a red coat and a pointed hat stands on the back of a large, levitating whale above the water, fishing with a rod in the heavens. Delicate, luminous streams of water flow from the whale onto the navy-blue surface of the ocean. The title piece Przynęta invites reflection and one’s own interpretation of this philosophical tale. The image captivates with a rich palette of marine blues and turquoises contrasted with a strong red accent.
