The inscription “INSERT COIN” recalls the gesture necessary to start a game in arcade video games, but in the work it takes on a broader meaning: to participate in the game of success, power and consumption, one must always pay a price.

Replacing the face with a control panel erases the character’s individual identity. We do not know who it is, because it could represent anyone who has chosen to play by the rules of a system based on ambition and appearance.

The weapon introduces narrative tension and symbolizes risk, conflict and the will to control. The suitcase evokes luxury, money and social status. Together, these elements build the portrait of a protagonist who seems to have reached the final level, yet not sure if he has truly won.

The tropical landscape, lit by extreme colors, transforms the scene into a universe suspended between paradise and danger. Everything is fascinating, but unstable.
