Renaud Barret is a photographer and filmmaker. He worked as a graphic designer before making several documentaries, using Kinshasa as the setting, in collaboration with Florent de La Tullaye, a well-known photojournalist. This photograph is part of a series of works about the world of boxing. This piece, “Merveille,” was exhibited in Paris as part of an exhibition on boxing through African contemporary art in partnership with the French Boxing Federation. The photograph was also shown in Arles as part of the Rencontres de la photographie.
