Title: An antique surveyor’s tape measure TREBLE England – leather and brass – circa 1930

Antique professional surveyor’s or geometer’s tape measure, of English manufacture, bearing the TREBLE – ENGLAND marking and the number 1533.

Beautiful circular case fully clad in thick brown leather, assembled by a peripheral seam. Metal mechanism with a hinged crank allowing rewinding of the tape. The measuring tape, reinforced canvas/fabric, retains its printed graduations.

An antique working instrument, particularly decorative, illustrating the equipment used by surveyors, land surveyors, craftsmen and building professionals during the first half of the 20th century.
