Leaning against the pale bodywork of a classic cabriolet, an elegant woman contemplates the sea. Silk scarf tied in her hair, glasses pushed up, long beige trench cinched over a red dress: all the allure of the 1930s, that of chic getaways to the Riviera. Around her, parasol pines rise in facet-cut plans, cut like shards of glass, while in the distance the golden beach, the dunes and the turquoise sea unfold beneath a sky of round clouds, two sailboats gliding on the horizon. The car’s gleaming chrome catches the light, Art Deco geometry structures every leaflet of foliage, every fold of the coat. Everything here breathes the quiet luxury of the interwar period: speed at rest, elegance on holiday, the suspended moment of a free woman facing the wide sea.

CARLO MONTE is one of the creations bringing together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and libre figurative. Under the name CARLO MONTE, the Atelier revives the golden age of Art Deco and the glamour of the 1930s: geometric figuration, crystalline facets, sculptural modeling and mechanical elegance, in the lineage of the great cubist icons of the interwar period.

CARLO MONTE gathers figures captured in the blaze of the Roaring Twenties, modern women, gleaming machines, faceted settings, where pure line and color celebrate speed and emancipation. The through line: a dialogue between Art Deco heritage and a contemporary view, where painterly matter enhances and transfigures the printed image.
