Born in 1974, I am self-taught.

After an initial period devoted to sculpture there was a long hiatus of almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the "two dimensions" for reasons of time and space, giving up sculpture and dedicating myself to creating acrylic paintings.

I love painting abstract landscapes, but recently I’ve been pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imagined and real.

For me, painting is about "locking time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and thus my works are "worn, eroded by time." Sometimes my paintings depict alleyways of walls also eroded by time, with moss and fungi that—over time—grow on the surface.
The passage of time is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs that are very perceptible to both touch and sight.

In recent times, after several years during which my works were composed of bits of recycled paper forming figures, I’m pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and repeated grids with mathematical rigor that, viewed up close, seem to form an abstract, colorful painting; the more you move away, the more a portrait emerges from the many painted wooden discs.

Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all of my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they lack the strength or courage to report that they are not their partner’s dolls and cannot be mistreated or worse, victims of violence.
