Description from the seller

Original advertising manifesto dedicated to Cirque Achille Zavatta, one of Europe’s most famous circuses, starring the legendary clown Achille Zavatta (1915–1993).

The image, with strong visual impact, depicts Zavatta with his iconic makeup, the red nose, and the characteristic gesture directed toward the spectator, turning the poster into an effective example of European circus graphics from the second half of the 20th century.

The composition is dominated by the vivid blue background and the large yellow headline, elements typical of advertising aimed at urban posting. The illustrative quality and the intense expressiveness of the face contribute to making this manifesto particularly sought after by collectors of circus memorabilia and vintage advertising graphics.

The poster was printed by the typography Impro-Vision – Ambert (France), as noted along the margin.

Dimensions: 106 × 78 cm.

Condition
Poster in overall good condition.
It presents:
- original editorial creases from street posting;
- slight signs of use and conservation;
- some light waviness and small deformations corresponding to the folds;
- minimal surface marks and a small abrasion along a side edge;
- reverse side with light handwritten annotations typical of use for distribution and posting.
The print retains very vivid colors and an excellent visual impact.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.

Shipping
The poster will be carefully shipped rolled in a rigid tube, with tracked and insured shipping, to ensure maximum protection during transport.
