A handsome Victorian illustrated edition of Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, published by Macmillan & Co., London and New York, 1894.
This edition features 100 illustrations by Charles E. Brock, one of the finest British illustrators of the late Victorian period, together with a preface by Henry Craik. It is bound in the publisher's original dark green pictorial cloth with elaborate gilt decoration to the spine and all page edges gilt.
The volume remains attractive with bright gilt decoration and a clean interior. The front inner hinge is cracked, but the binding remains intact and the text block is still securely attached.
