Description from the seller
Exceptional and very rare Thierry Mugler sunglasses, iconic Cosmos model, dating from the late 1970s and early 1980s, in the midst of the Space Age design era.
This coveted archival piece of haute couture stands out for its thick, geometric frame made of high-quality acetate with a spectacular iridescent pearlescent effect. It is complemented by its original yellow/amber lenses, creating the brand's characteristic avant-garde, architectural contrast.
The condition of the glasses is excellent (vintage condition pristine), maintaining the shine of the material and the original symmetry of the frame. The engraving with the model name "Cosmos" and the brand signature is clearly visible on the inside of the temple arms. A protective case is included.
Due to their extreme scarcity, their historical value in ready-to-wear fashion and their excellent condition, this model is a genuine museum piece highly sought after by archivists and international luxury fashion collectors.
The lot is properly protected and insured shipping from Málaga, Spain.
