### Description
This lot features "Flora Japonica" by Carl Peter Thunberg (C. P. Thunberg), a facsimile reprint edition published in Tokyo in 1933 (Showa 8) by Shokubutsu-Bunken-Kankōkai (Botany Literature Publishing Society).
Carl Peter Thunberg (1743–1828), a student of Carl Linnaeus often referred to as the "Father of Japanese Botany," recorded the flora of Japan during his stay at Dejima, Nagasaki. Originally published in 1784, this monumental work is reproduced here complete with detailed botanical descriptions and engraved plates.

Vintage condition consistent with age and reference use.
* Binding: Original binding shows shelf wear, rubbing along the spine and edges, and light age toning.
* Interior: 418 pages. Pages show age-toning and faint foxing. As visible in the photos, there are minor tears/wear on some pages, but the text and botanical illustrations remain clear, sharp, and fully legible. Please refer to all high-resolution photos for detailed cosmetic condition.
