Le Yack - Coming Through Slaughter - Hand signed

On the tarmac of an airport, against a sky of deep blue, cloudless, a brunette woman strides forward with a long step, a light coat billowing behind her, a slit sheath dress, round sunglasses, a bright red handbag at the end of her arm. Behind her, a four-engine Air France propeller airplane, polished aluminum fuselage, rises against the azure. Semiotically, the scene is all movement and modernity: the long stride, the wind-blown coat, the airplane from the golden age of aviation compose the iconography of glamorous travel in the 1950s-60s. The red of the bag, the only warm intrusion, guides the eye in a composition dominated by the blue of the sky and the silver of the fuselage. Heroic low-angle shot, smooth treatment, clear daylight.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. He is artistic director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45.
