Le Yack - Before the Leap - Hand signed

A young man in a red pair of shorts stands on the edge of a white rock, toes over the void, gazing at the turquoise water below. He is at the extreme edge of the frame, at the extreme edge of his decision. The sky is a nocturnal blue, almost violently so. A single, large white cloud occupies the right side of the composition like a silent witness.
Le Yack captures the moment that precedes — the instant of suspension between decision and act. That microsecond when everything is still possible, when the leap hasn’t happened yet and fear and desire coexist. The diagonal composition of the rock, the saturated color of the sky, the smallness of the body compared to the immensity of the sea: all contribute to making this banal moment something heroic.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design (ESAD) of Orléans. He is a artistic director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited in a network of about forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, United States.
