A complete work describing region by region the peculiarities of the people and lands of Belgium.
Volume I: Brussels, Leuven, Nivelles, Antwerp
Volume II: Bruges, Courtrai, Ypres, the coast, Ghent, Mons, Borinage, Tournai, Charleroi
Volume III: Namur and surroundings, Ciney, Condroz, Liège and its province, Verviers, Limburg, Hasselt, Luxembourg valleys
Illustrated with over 1,000 in-text engravings and 18 chromolithographs on plates (not in the text) of Belgian types and costumes (Franz Meerts, Edwin Ganz).
Good overall condition, slight wear to corners and boards. Paper yellowed inside, typical for the period. Chromolithographs in good condition.
