This painting was created using the traditional illumination technique on a sheet of parchment made from goat skin (first choice), with tempera pigments, enhanced with gold leaf and India ink. 
I abandoned the medieval-inspired motifs that are characteristic of traditional illumination to create a contemporary model, inspired by a more modern aesthetic (street art, comics, psychedelic art). 
While remaining faithful to the traditional techniques of the Middle Ages. An illumination inspired by contemporary aesthetics.

Cette peinture a été réalisée avec la technique de l'enluminure traditionnelle sur une feuille de parchemin en peau de chèvre (1er choix), avec des pigments à la détrempe, rehaussé à la feuille d'or et à l'encre de chine. 
J'ai délaissé les motifs d'inspiration médiévale qui sont propres à l'enluminure traditionnelle pour créer un modèle contemporain, inspiré par une esthétique plus contemporaine (street-art, bande-dessinée, art psychédélique).
Tout en restant fidèle aux technique traditionnelles du Moyen-Age. Une enluminure d'inspiration contemporaine.
