A. Koupetzian, pupil of Martiros Sarian (1880-1972), the greatest Armenian artist.
Koupetzian became famous for his Cubist compositions, called synthetic Cubism, initially invented by Braque and Picasso around 1910.
After embracing this style in the 1970s, A. Koupetzian developed it considerably, adding depth and new colors never observed before.
The works are widely present in exhibitions and national museums in Russia, Italy, USA, the United Kingdom and China.
