AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A beautiful, fitting pair of large Balinese wall sculptures, completely hand-carved and richly polychrome painted.
The panels depict two refined figures in traditional, royal Balinese attire (possibly the divine couple Rama and Sita, or ceremonial temple dancers).

The figures are highly detailed, with prominent, large headpieces (Krone) adorned with bright wing-like elements in red, green and pink. Their clothing is richly adorned with gold paint and incised geometric patterns and scroll motifs.
The almond-shaped eyes and the serene facial expression are characteristic of Balinese folk art.

These panels are designed to hang symmetrically next to each other (for example on either side of a door or mirror) and form a colorful, atmospheric focal point.

Condition:
In good vintage condition with normal signs of aging and minimal paint wear consistent with the age (see photos).

Dimensions & Weight:
Height: 66 cm and 65 cm.
Width: 19 cm and 19 cm.
Depth: 2 cm and 1.8 cm.
Weight: 853 g and 740 g.

The lot is carefully packaged and sent registered, insured shipping with a track-and-trace number.
Pickup by arrangement also possible.
