- bark and trunk become very handsome in old age due to their gnarly appearance
- good suitability for deadwood work

Our standards:
- Each bonsai is delivered with a sample pack of our favored organic bonsai long-term fertilizer.
- To determine trunk width we place the measuring tool at half height between root collar and first branch (see sample image). In case of several trunks, the widest is chosen.
- All our trees are planted in a substrate mix developed by us.
- Where available, we reuse old packaging for the sake of the environment.
- The trees are watered before shipping, protected from drying out, and securely fixed in the outer carton.
- Shipping is insured.
- Service providers are commissioned who state that they typically deliver the goods within max 4 business days.
- We ship on the following Monday after receipt of payment on Catawiki to avoid delays caused by weekends.
