Description from the seller
MOËT & CHANDON Antique Silver-Plated or Chrome-Plated Champagne Ice Bucket – ARGIT, France, 1920s
Approximately 100 years old, this MOËT & CHANDON champagne ice bucket was made in France by ARGIT.
The bucket originally had a shiny silver-plated or chrome-plated finish, but much of the coating has worn away over the past century. Due to its age, it shows small dents, scratches and other signs of use.
The base was repaired in the past, and the repair is visible in the form of four solder marks. The repair is sound: the bucket does not leak and remains fully functional for use today.
The upper section is decorated with raised grapevine leaves and grape clusters, together with two ring handles. Both sides feature a large embossed “CHAMPAGNE MOËT & CHANDON” inscription.
Dimensions: Height 21 cm, width 19 cm.
The bucket has a strongly aged patina consistent with its age and remains both usable and decorative.
