The painter is an architect, and buildings and plans are her life. However, here the construction makes no sense; it seems solid, yet it floats. There is no firm ground beneath the feet; everything is uncertain and deceptive, even if at first glance it looks different. The name of the painting, “Uncertainty,” expresses the feeling you experience when you imagine standing there.
