A collection of four hand-carved wooden Wayang Golek puppets from Java, Indonesia, dating to 1970–1980, with articulated arms and colourful textiles, sold with a stand; large puppets measure 660 × 100 × 150 mm and the smaller one 400 × 90 × 80 mm, total weight 400 g, in fair condition with signs of heavy use and possible missing parts, one base missing with a bottle used as a replacement.

A collection of 4 traditional Indonesian Wayang Golek puppets. Each puppet is individually hand-carved and hand-painted, with articulated wooden arms controlled by slender rods.
The figures wear colourful traditional costumes made from patterned batik-style textiles, embellished with beads, sequins, fringes and decorative trim. Each character has an expressive, distinctive face and elaborate headdress.
Wayang Golek puppets originate from Java, Indonesia, where they are traditionally used to perform stories drawn from mythology, history and epic literature. They are also highly decorative cultural objects.
