Description from the seller
Rare Pirkenhammer Imari plate – F&R (Fischer & Reichenbach), circa 1815–1825
Beautiful and early-depicted plate from the famous Pirkenhammer manufactory (Czech Republic), still from the early F&R period. Decorated in the classic Imari style with cobalt blue, iron red and gilded elements, as well as a central pagoda motif.
The painting is finely executed, with rich gold accents. The plate shows age-appropriate wear, no cracks, no restorations, slight wear to the gilding, as is common with pieces from this period.
Rare size: 23.5 cm in diameter.
Early large formats are noticeably harder to find than the smaller 17–19 cm plates.
