Description from the seller

H. SAMUEL ACME LEVER 1895 Victorian Pocket Watch – Working, Collector's Condition!

For sale is a unique, fully original Victorian "Acme Lever" pocket watch, manufactured for the legendary British jewelry chain H. Samuel of Manchester.

The watch dates from the late 19th century – the movement bears the factory's signature with the exact patent date: October 5, 1895 (Octb. 5th 1895). It is a textbook, well-preserved example of the so-called "hybrid watch" of that era.

Mechanical condition: The watch is fully FUNCTIONAL, running smoothly and stably. Equipped with a precise Swiss-made anchor movement (Swiss Made) with Patent Balance and Patent Barrel technology (blued screws, beautiful engravings).

Dial: Original, white enamel with Roman numerals and a separate seconds hand. The dial is in perfect condition – without any cracks, chips, or chips, which is extremely rare in watches over 130 years old and drastically increases its collectible value. Case: Armored, fully screw-down construction (both the front bezel and the back cover) from the American company Keystone Watch Case Co. Made of the original, durable Silveroid alloy (case serial number: 5746288). Matching Numbers: Complete and intact. The ending of the case serial number (46288) is factory-stamped on the inner rim under the crystal, providing 100% certainty that the dial bezel has never been replaced. VISUAL CONDITION: The watch is in very good cosmetic condition. A beautiful, natural patina of time is visible, adding to its historic character. All signatures, numbers, and engravings are sharp and perfectly legible. The glass is free of deep scratches. This watch makes an excellent investment, a highlight for a private collection, or a unique, prestigious gift for an enthusiast of antiques and Victorian history. This is a private sale, with no returns accepted. Photos are an integral part of the listing and reflect the current condition of the watch. Please see my other listings. The display stand is not included in the sale.
