Expressive, large-format sacred painting (oil on canvas) of high painterly and sacred intimacy. The composition shows the Madonna with the Christ Child in the classical master tradition, set in an oval image window.

The massively crafted opulent frame: The work is surrounded by an imposing, strongly profiled wooden frame from the 19th century. This frame impresses with a massive wooden construction and an elaborately worked, gold-colored mounting. The handcrafted ornamentation shows plastic floral corner decorations, surrounding decorative mouldings, precisely worked pearl-bead motifs, and a delicate inner profile. A representative frame that gives the painting enormous depth and presence.
