Description from the seller

Jozsef Csaba Hajzer (b. 1974) – “Paul”

“Paul” is a large-scale original work by Hungarian-born artist Jozsef Csaba Hajzer, who lives and works in Germany.

The painting is part of the “My World” series, developed from personal observations, encounters, places, and situations experienced by the artist. Rather than creating a linear narrative, Hajzer brings these fragments together within a new pictorial reality.

In “Paul”, a solitary figure occupies a space in which the familiar and the imaginary begin to overlap. Elements drawn from observation and memory are placed alongside unexpected images, creating an atmosphere that moves between everyday reality, recollection, and imagination.

As throughout the “My World” series, the individual elements are connected without forming a fixed story. People, objects, spaces, and impressions become fragments of a personal visual world, allowing relationships to emerge that did not necessarily exist in the original moments from which they came.

The work was presented as part of Hajzer’s solo exhibition “Fast Da / Almost There” at Hagenring in Hagen, Germany.
