Description from the seller
Quiet Storm is a subgenre of R&B and soul that emerged in the mid-1970s. It is known for its smooth, romantic "slow jams" featuring jazz and pop influences. In its early stages, it was primarily defined by established soul artists—such as Barry White and Marvin Gaye—who refined their sound to create a more subdued, late-night atmosphere. By the 1980s, Quiet Storm had become a dominant radio format and produced its own superstars, such as The Commodores.
