Comfortable
In this minimalist and dulled-taste work, the artist immortalizes two persimmons laid in perfect symmetry inside a white container. The title Comfortable arises from the immediate intuition the author had when observing the original packaging: an image capable of instantly evoking a sense of intimate ease, welcome, and protection.

Biographical Extract
Francesco Stile was born in Naples in 1965, into a family tied to Neapolitan painting tradition. His mother and, in particular, his grandfather, landscape painters, represented the first reference for a formation deeply rooted in Italian figurative culture.
At thirteen he began attending the atelier of portraitist Carlo Roberto La Volpe, where he acquired a solid technical training, deepening drawing, oil painting, the study of light and the figure. Subsequently he opened his own studio and devoted himself to Falsi d’Autore, focusing his research on Seicento painting and the Caravaggesque tradition.
In 1997, the discovery of contemporary hyperrealism marked a decisive turning point in his path. Since then he has developed a research centered on hyperrealistic still life in oil on canvas, characterized by a rigorous attention to light, matter, surfaces, and detail.
Over time, technical precision becomes, for Stile, a tool in service of a broader research. The everyday object is stripped of its simple descriptive function and transformed into a metaphor of contemporary reality. From this evolution emerges his personal concept of the “conceptual hyperrealism,” in which fidelity to the real coexists with a symbolic and narrative dimension.
Throughout the years his artistic activity has been accompanied by various recognitions and awards, culminating in 2025 with participation in the London Art Biennale, where he presents Prospettiva, a work dedicated to the theme of migrations. For this work he receives the Chianciano Art Museum Award / Arts Club Chianciano Award, the latest recognition in a path studded with important attestations in the contemporary painting scene.
Stile’s research today develops in the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, between technical rigor and thought, using painting as a tool to transform fragments of everyday life into images capable of engaging the viewer.
