Possible color variations are due to lighting, monitor, and camera. Unlike prints on canvas, my hand-painted originals offer a distinctive experience. Every brushstroke and the texture of the paint are tangible and contribute to the individual character of each work.
About the artist: Floria Rey, a multidisciplinary artist living in Berlin, explores light and space as well as the relationship between memory and nature in her works. Her paintings, sculptures, and installations are characterized by a dynamic interaction with light and air passages, creating a tension between the surfaces and the space beyond.
Floria Rey has shown her works internationally, including major exhibitions in New York, ArtBasel Miami, Bristol, Luxembourg, Milan, and Barcelona, as well as at the ArtBiennale Venezia 2022. Her art is listed on platforms such as Artsy, Singulart, Saatchi, Akoun, and Artmajeur, reaching a wide audience. Upcoming exhibitions in 2026 at Galerie Le Chien D’Or Quebec, Casa del Arte Palma, Nicoleta Gallery Berlin. Soon to be represented in the exhibition GRAVITY & LEVITY — A Cosmic Dance, hosted by Naeil Gallery, Jongno-gu SEOUL, October 9–21, 2026, and Hong Art Museum China, December 2026.
All my offerings at Catawiki are my own works, unique pieces, and my intellectual property. All rights reserved by FloriaRey. Seller's Story
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or simply want to say “hello” once you have received your piece. Each of my pieces has its own personality and is a unique work of art.
I find it totally fascinating how light streams into a room and everything it touches is transformed for a brief moment. This sunlight seems almost magical – it lifts even the most everyday things to a special level. These transitional spaces, where light and shadow play, are at once tangible and yet like from memory. For me, they are also a perfect occasion to experiment with color.
Thus a kind of palimpsest is created—a surface that tells its own story, because you can still see the traces of its creation. It is precisely this tension between transience and permanence that makes my work so exciting to me.
