Original sculpture by the French artist Karl Lagasse from his well-known One Dollar series. In “One Dollar Rols Black & White” Lagasse reinterprets the design of the American one-dollar bill as a slim, cylindrical aluminum sculpture.
The surface is designed in a high-contrast black-and-white design. Typical elements of the Dollar bill such as serial numbers, seals, inscriptions, and graphical details are enlarged and distributed across the sculpture. Through the vertical form, the well-known motif gains a modern and almost architectural effect.
The work is limited to 100 copies, hand-signed and individually numbered. It is sold with a certificate of authenticity from the artist as well as the accompanying gallery invoice.
