Rare porcelain Sculpture of a Pointer Dog – Amphora, Czechoslovakia, 1920-1930

Splendid and rare vintage porcelain sculpture depicting a hunting Pointer dog in a standing pose, produced by the renowned Czechoslovak manufactory Amphora (Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel) between 1918 and 1939.
The work stands out for its exceptional anatomical realism and for the refined hand-painted finish, faithfully reproducing the dog’s characteristic spotted coat. The figure rests on a naturalistic base that simulates rocky terrain.

The underside of the base bears all the authenticity marks:
Oval mark stamped on the ceramic body: "AMPHORA"
Model/shape number stamped: 8341
Serial/lot number stamped: 20
Black circular stamp under the glaze: "Amphora Made in Czechoslovakia" (export mark of the era)
Decorator’s initials "VI" painted by hand

Dimensions: Height: 23 cm; Length: 30 cm; Depth: 14 cm

Conditions: Excellent vintage condition. The piece is absolutely intact, without hairlines, chips, restorations, or missing parts. The glaze surface retains its original luster.
