Cyril Keller - Patina

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland.

My artistic journey began in the early 1990s when I discovered graffiti art for myself.
From around 1993 to the end of the 1990s, graffiti was my great passion.
During this time my enthusiasm for color, form, and creative expression developed—the foundation of my current painting.

In 2015 I found my path to abstract art. That opened up a completely new creative world for me, one that continues to inspire me to this day.
Since then I have devoted myself with great passion to abstract painting, continually experimenting with new techniques, color compositions, and image structures.

I am especially fascinated by the unique forms and textures created by the squeegee technique.
Each painting is a new journey of discovery for me, where intuition, creativity, and willingness to experiment come together.
As a self-taught artist I love continually evolving and finding new ways to translate emotion and dynamism onto the canvas.

Today I deliberately devote more time to my art than ever before and look to the future with enthusiastic anticipation.
My goal is to create works that touch people, spark their imagination, and give them lasting joy.

To me the best thing about abstract art is its openness.
Each viewer discovers something unique, bringing their own thoughts, feelings, and experiences to a piece and letting it affect them in a wholly personal way.
It is precisely this connection between the artwork and the viewer that makes abstract painting so special to me.
