Description from the seller
Still Beneath the Hum
I have forgotten how to rise. The room above me holds its light - a warm lamp, the patient geometry of furniture - while I remain here, where teal swallows everything and my hair lifts like dark water finding its own current. Goldfish drift past without surprise. My dress billows in silence, unhurried. I sit with hands folded, eyes softly closed, neither drowning nor breathing, simply suspended in the blurred hour between exhaustion and surrender. The brushstrokes carry their own weight, loose and certain at once, as if the world dissolved gradually and no one thought to stop it.

About the Artist
Enigma is an Italian surrealist who paints their own likeness into worlds of pure imagination - not to tell a story, but to ask a question.
The figures are deliberately genderless, blending masculine and feminine so no single identity stands between the viewer and the canvas.
Reality bends through frames within frames: rooms open onto other rooms, other skies, other selves, rendered in smooth, luminous brushwork and blocks of bold, contrasting color.
Each painting is a dreamscape where memory, symbol, and self dissolve into one another - and every canvas is one of a kind, never repeated.
