The shell features an interesting polychrome camouflage paint, composed of several tones, quite in the style of the camouflage applied to American helmets during World War I. This type of British helmet was issued to the “Doughboys” of the American Army
The origin and authenticity of this camouflage paint are not guaranteed, however.

The shell has been pierced by a bullet: it shows an entry wound as well as an exit wound. This element is visible in the photographs.

This helmet was found at a recycling center a few years ago.

La coque présente une intéressante peinture de camouflage polychrome, composée de plusieurs tons, tout à fait dans le style des camouflages appliqués sur les casques américains durant la Première Guerre mondiale. Ce type de casque britannique à été livré aux "Doughboy" de l'Armée Américaine 
L’origine et l’authenticité de cette peinture de camouflage ne sont toutefois pas garanties.

La coque a été traversée par une balle : elle présente un impact d’entrée ainsi qu’un impact de sortie. Cet élément est visible sur les photographies.

Ce casque a été trouvé dans une déchetterie il y a quelques années.
