The Aletai meteorite is a rare and valuable iron meteorite (siderite) of type IIIE-an, discovered in Xinjiang, China. Formed about 4.5 billion years ago, it stands out for its enormous size (tonnes), a unique structure with a high iridium content, and characteristic Widmanstätten patterns. Officially named in 2016, it encompasses several discoveries under synonymous names, including Armanty.
