Description from the seller

Collection of Artistic Ceramics from Gualdo Tadino (20th Century)
The present documentation attests to the quantity, state of preservation, and commercial valuation of a collection consisting of 20 pieces from the ceramic tradition of Gualdo Tadino (Perugia). The collection is distinguished in particular by the significant core of works made with the traditional lustre technique (third firing in a reducing atmosphere with fumes), paired with historically relevant polychrome maiolicas.
SECTION I: LUSTRE WORKS (GOLD AND DEEP RED)
The lustre with a reflected iridescence, rediscovered in the nineteenth century by Paolo Rubboli, involves a third firing in a reducing atmosphere with organic fumes, which gives the surfaces shifting metallic iridescences.
