Description from the seller
Refined pair of single-flame candlesticks made of white glazed art ceramic (terracotta/maiolica), characterized by a rich and elegant decoration with floral motifs molded in relief. The details of the petals and leaves are meticulously applied by hand, recalling the famous Italian manufacturing tradition of Bassano del Grappa and the Rococo style of Capodimonte. Under the base there is the original metallized commercial label of the historic gallery "S. MANNARINI - Porcellane d'Arte - Antiquariato", an element that attests to its passage onto the Italian antique and collecting market around the mid-20th century (1950s/70s). The base also shows the characteristic and fascinating natural glaze crackling (crackle), typical of artisanal ceramic productions of the era. Material: Glazed art ceramic Epoca: XX Secolo (circa 1950-1970) Paese d'origine: Italia Stile: Bassano / Capodimonte
