NYX - Whispers of Koi

Whispers of Koi is a contemporary work imbued with poetry and serenity, inspired by Japanese imagination and the symbolism of the koi carp.

The face of a young woman emerges from a composition that is almost entirely monochrome, built around multiple shades of deep blue, cobalt blue, white and indigo. Her gaze meets that of a koi carp, creating a suspended, intimate, almost silent moment.

In Japanese culture, the koi carp is traditionally associated with perseverance, courage, transformation, and the ability to move forward despite obstacles. It becomes here the symbol of an inner dialogue between fragility and strength.

A second carp, punctuated with orange touches, subtly breaks the blue-dominated composition. This contrast draws the eye and gives the work a distinctive vibration.
