Sterling silver 925 necklace, length about 50 cm, weight about 17 g, plate braided mesh, unisex, no laboratory report.
Description from the seller
Sterling silver 925 necklace – Tight, flat woven chain – 50 cm – 17 g
Elegant necklace crafted in sterling silver 925, characterized by a remarkable work of tightly interwoven links creating a dense, regular, and particularly refined braided effect.
Unlike classic chains made of widely spaced links, this model has a much more compact construction: the various elements sit very close to one another to form a flat, supple chain that visually reads as continuous.
This worked structure allows light to reflect successively on the different polished surfaces of the silver, giving the necklace a particularly interesting shine when worn.
With a length of 50 cm, it naturally sits around the neck while remaining sufficiently presence to be worn alone. Its weight of about 17 grams also offers a very nice balance: the necklace maintains a slender and elegant appearance without giving the impression of an excessively light chain.
Sterling silver 925
The necklace is made of 925/1000 silver, also called sterling silver.
The clasp clearly bears the “925” hallmark, visible in the detailed photos of the lot.
Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% silver, with the remainder consisting of other metals intended in particular to provide greater mechanical resistance to the jewelry.
Weave work
One of the main attractions of this piece lies in its construction.
The links are:
- tightly nested;
- arranged to create a very tight braided effect;
- relatively flat;
- regular along the entire length;
- polished to enhance the play of light.
This architecture gives the necklace an almost textile appearance: depending on the angle from which it is viewed, different parts of the weave seem to cross and overlap.
The result is a jewelry piece that is understated, luminous, and very elegant, with interest resting more on the workmanship of the chain itself than on the addition of a pendant or decorative elements.
