Eluterio Bauser Ribes (1908-1980) - Retrato Dama

Eleuterio Bauset Ribes 1908-1980. Valencian painter who studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts San Carlo in Valencia. Illustrator and poster designer in the 1930s; during the Civil War he went into exile in Cuba and other Central American countries, including for a US dealer, portraying great personalities. The painter's most well-known work is undoubtedly “La desbandada,” a piece acquired by the Valencia Fine Arts Museum and lent for 5 years to the Reina Sofía Museum, where it has shared a room with painters such as Picasso, Dalí, Juan Gris, or Miró.
