Vova Titov is an Estonian born artist with a degree in interior design from the prestigious Herzen University in St. Petersburg. His paintings, sculptures and drawings are all one of a kind, hand-crafted and have been sold internationally, with some making their way into the homes of Hollywood directors. His art is represented by the Saatchi Gallery, with regular auctions on Catawiki.
"The vessels" The work develops the still-life line of Cubism into recognizable silhouettes of vessels (bottles, a jug, a glass) assembled from displaced planes and "growing" through one another, creating a vertical rhythm in the composition. A pastel, muted palette of powdery pink, gray-beige, and ochre is set off by dark accents of the "circle" necks and a deep terracotta-red spot at the bottom right. Smooth, rounded forms contrast with sharp edges, creating a sense of soft, almost musical movement between the objects. The work is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
