Fault Line — Gilded Rift belongs to the Fault Line series, an exploration of fracture as a symbol of strength, transformation, and revealed beauty.
In this work, darkness dominates the canvas like a deep, silent, almost mineral space. On that black background, a diagonal crack appears in textured gold, crossing the composition like a precious vein discovered in rock. The line is not clean or uniform: it has relief, irregularity, and matter, as if it had emerged from the interior of the surface.
I wanted the gold to function as contained energy, a light that breaks the density of black without destroying it.
